Fear-Less

Comic Book

An exercise in the medium of graphic storytelling under the mentorship of Debkumar Mitra, Fear-less is a journey to a familiar memory of childhood. It's perhaps one of those stories of growth and acceptance, yet one that you'd laugh at in hindsight.
Fear-less is a story from a village in Bengal, India stemming from one of my childhood experiences which brought me a little bit closer to my culture. It explores the dying folk art form of Bahurupis, who are travelling performance artists, dressed as familiar characters often from mythology and folk tales.

After trying multiple fonts out for the title and inner title, and failing to find one that properly fits the purpose; specially because it needs to be in both English and Bengali, I chose to make a custom lettering for the inner and outer titles keeping it consistent in both the languages. I had aimed for variation in opacity giving the feel of something being in the dark which I wanted the title to convey.
